Corner Brook Running Club season opener is a 5-km race in Massey Drive Sunday May 3rd.
The Corner Brook Running Club will begin its racing season on Sunday, May 3rd, with the Physical Rehab Spring Opener 5K Race at Tipping’s Pond in Massey Drive, a timed event over an Athletics Canada certified course. There are also untimed children’s fun runs of 2.5 km and 1 km. The adult race is a timed event with a chance for all entrants to win a draw prize after the event. Refreshments will also be served after the race.
The base online race fee is $10.00. Each participant must purchase at least a $5 day membership ($15 total). (See below for onsite registration – fee increases $5).
You may purchase a season membership for an additional $5 ($20 total). If you purchase a season membership you will be sent a member code for use at future events which will deduct the $5 day membership fee. (Codes are not automatically generated, please allow a day or two for processing. Code is not valid for Downtown Dash or Humber Valley Marathon)
Day of registration is available onsite for $20 starting @ 10 AM. This includes $5 for day membership. Season membership may be purchased for an additional $5 ($25 total).

The CBRC will hold its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, January 25th at 7:30 P.M. in the boardroom at the YMCA. Included on the agenda will be the election of a new President. All CBRC members, and any runners who wish to get involved with the club, are encouraged to attend.
All are welcome to join in the Corner Brook Running Club’s Island Orthotics Christmas Run at 2:00 pm on 21 December. Meet at Island Orthotics on the upper level of the Goodhouse Building, 93 West Street. Santa Hats and bells are recommended but not obligatory. This is an easy-paced fun run of about 5 km and will be followed by refreshments at Island Orthotics.
